Proposed Changes
The draft policy is available below and proposed changes are highlighted in yellow. Hard copies are also available on request at the contact details below.
There are two changes proposed to the oversubscription criteria in the admissions arrangements, as follows:
- The Sixth form admissions arrangements to be changed, and to include Professional Pathway only, removing A-Levels. The entry requirements as follows:
- Professional Pathways: A minimum of five GCSE grades at 9-4 including English and Maths.
- Foundation Pathway - A resit in either maths or English plus a Level 3 BTEC. A minimum of three grades at 9-4, and a 3 in maths and/or English.
- The sixth form oversubscription criteria to include Ark Soane as a feeder school to the sixth form.
The policy in full is also being consulted on at the same time. Whilst the seven year period for consultation won’t be reached for another year, it was deemed appropriate to consult in full at this time, given that the sixth form arrangements are being consulted on also. There are no other proposed changes from previous arrangements with the remainder of the policy.
