Safeguarding in the event of a closure

In these extraordinary times, the safeguarding of our students is our absolute priority.  We work closely with external partners to ensure that we try to provide as much support to students and parents as we can.  The Metropolitan Police have recently sent us some guidance on the very serious subject of young people being drawn into county lines.  This is the exploitation of young people and coercion into drug dealing and gangs.  This is a very real risk to young people in London.  Please see the attached link for more details on what county lines is and what you can do to support if you suspect a young person of being involved in county lines.  Of course we can access support through our safeguarding teams at Ark Acton too.  You can contact us through our info@arkacton.org email address and this will be referred to the safeguarding team.
